We were renters with property partners. After signing a 60 page lease and being promised: that the swamp cooler had... been turned on, trash had been taken from the backyard, and that the bathtub and the sink had been fixed. We walked into our apartment with none of our problems having been addressed. I set up a service company to fix the swamp cooler that night because it was 105 degrees outside, our dog is a cool-climate breed, and my partner has severe asthma. I notified Desiree who was very intimidating and told us that if we were to have this fixed we would be on the street the following day and that they would take our security deposit. As a result I had to see my dog suffer in the floor panting non-stop for four days. During this time, my partner was constantly having to use his inhaler for his asthma. After three months Property Partners did fix the bathtub/shower and the sink. They did however neglect to clean up the trash that had been in our back yard. It was too much and too heavy for us to cart away, so some is still there where we found it. For the maintenance done on the unit we would almost never see more than 24 hours notice and would be given a call 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival. This was a direct breach of our lease, we asked them to correct their behavior and they never did. For renters and landlords beware that this agency does not have your best interest at heart. Desiree preys off of those with little legal recourse and did a horrendous job managing the unit where we lived. My partner wanted to remind me to say that Desiree is the devil and not the cool kind.read more

Desiree is FABULOUS! If I could give Desiree --10 (minus 10) I would. As it is 1 is too high. I have bought and sold numerous properties and... have good and bad agents. She made all the bad agents look like stars. First she talked a good talk as to value, marketing and her high energy. She missed a deadline for an offer, she would not respond on weekends, said "she didn't work weekends nor nights". She insisted that I needed to spend money for a complete paint job, carpet etc. and then placed a lower estimate sale price than she originally said. Desiree didnt return calls once she entered into the agent ageement. She didnt even check the figures on the sales agreement. Fortunately the title agent did, saved me 1k+.She put out zero effort. Definitely a very low energy agent that waits for the property to sell itself.The good reviews appear to be management related. Since I by misfortune had her as a realestate agent her apparent "skills set" may be different.A real disservice to anyone selling their property to use this woman..Desiree in response to your response your dismissal is typical of your failure to identify with truthful criticism. Look again.!read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Desiree did such an amazing job listing and selling our home. We had 2... showings on the day our house went on the market, and had multiple offers come in shortly after! We had orders to move out-of-state, which made things tricky as we were not there to oversee the miscellaneous repairs that needed to be done or go over any paperwork. Desiree eased our minds by giving us updates, checking on the repairs and making sure they were done correctly, and explaining all of the paperwork via phone calls. She always answered our calls and knew the answer to all of the questions that we asked. She made the sale of our home stress free during a rather stressful move! I would recommend Desiree and her wonderful team at Property Partners, Inc. for any of your real estate or rental needs. We will definitely be recommending her to all of our friends in Albuquerque!read more

Desiree was an amazing resource for buying our first house! My husband and I moved across the country, and Desiree... helped us with every step along the way. She was easily reachable for our countless questions, and was very knowledgeable and informative. She made sure inspections and repairs moved along as they should and checked in on the house, which was quite beneficial with us being out-of-state. We appreciated her extra effort in helping us close according to our tricky timeline! Even after we’ve moved in, she helped us in getting things up and running, including references to local services. I loved how easy it was to work with the team of Property Partners. Desiree Barton was attentive, professional, and... efficient. She made the sell easier especially being out of state. I got top dollar for my property and she never gave up to ensure that it would be. I sing her praises. She sold both my and my daughter's homes in a timely manner.
